Northampton Announces Warming Center Locations
for Upcoming Cold and Snowy Days
NORTHAMPTON - With snow beginning to fall late Saturday and temperatures expected to drop significantly in the coming days, the City of Northampton has announced the availability of warming shelters for individuals seeking a safe, warm space.
The warming shelters will be available for four days: Saturday, February 8, Sunday, February 9, Monday, February 10, and Tuesday, February 11, 2025 with varying hours of operation. The City encourages residents and visitors experiencing homelessness or needing a safe place to stay during extreme cold weather to take advantage of these facilities.

The City of Northampton, in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations, has worked diligently to ensure that these facilities are accessible to those in need. Each location will provide a safe and warm environment, as well as access to basic services and support. For more information on the warming shelter services, please contact the Northampton Department of Human Services at (413) 587-1215.
Additionally, the City urges residents to check on neighbors who may be vulnerable during the cold weather and to report anyone in need of assistance to local authorities or outreach teams.
Stay Safe and Warm!
