Some of you may have heard queries from members of the public at the last Planning Board meeting on March 24, related to the development review and public hearing process for permitting boards. There has been information about the development review process on the web pages of the Office of Planning & Sustainability for several years. However, based on the questions, concerns and misunderstanding voiced at that meeting about how the process works, we have reorganized and added some content and provided a direct link alias to this landing page. This does not detail every possible permit path, but covers a significant overview of application and public hearing procedures. This information now sits at Northamptonma.gov/permit.
As you all field questions from your constituents, please feel free to share this link that hopefully can answer permitting questions and provide easy access to other parts of the development review sections that may be pertinent to their concerns/questions.
